19 Months – 2 ½ Years
Our educators continue to provide an engaging and thoughtful environment as your young toddler continues to grow with us. At the ages of 19 months to 2 ½ years old, these young toddlers are naturally curious and ready to learn and explore. Our educators emphasize on building your child’s independence and encourage their inquisitiveness to promote the love of learning through The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos. This curriculum is based on 38 objectives for development and learning, which are fully aligned with the School Readiness Goals for Infants and Toddlers in Head Start and early learning standards for each state. It helps teachers and caregivers implement developmentally appropriate practices and offer responsive daily routines and meaningful experiences that nurture learning and development. The curriculum also offers daily opportunities for teachers and caregivers to use assessment information to individualize routines and experiences for young children. Creative Curriculum also provides built-in guidance for building the kind of meaningful partnerships with families that are an essential factor in how infants, toddlers and twos experience the program and how much they gain from it.
We focus on different areas of the child including health and safety, independence, social interaction, sensorial learning, introduction of language, and individualized learning plans to guide children to develop new skills and explore new experiences. While focusing on these areas in the classroom, we also like to develop a healthy communication between the educator and parent and build a relationship of love, respect, and security with each child. Combining all of these focal points allows us to create a healthy and loving space for your child at Hudson Sprouts Academy.
